BOARD MEMBER

Heather Knox is currently a Client Associate/Office Manager for True Altitude Wealth Management. She is new to the wealth management industry, with over 20 years of experience in events and nonprofit work. She is a notary with expertise in client relations, office management, and event coordination.

Heather and her husband, James Knox, founded a children’s choir in 2007, successfully providing opportunities for kids from kindergarten to 5th grade to sing in a community choir for a decade, with 95 singers per term. They organized two major concerts annually, including a fall performance at the Tower Theatre with three sold-out shows and a spring concert in partnership with The Kids Center to raise awareness for child abuse prevention.

Heather worked for five years as the office and events coordinator for a nonprofit supporting the local school district through grants. She organized a major fundraiser at the Tower Theatre, a trivia bee event, to raise funds for classroom support. Additionally, she dedicated over 12 years volunteering in her children’s schools, spending five years at the high school level assisting juniors and seniors with post-graduate goals, such as college applications, apprenticeships, scholarships, and career opportunities.

Through James’ job, Heather and her husband have had the opportunity to travel abroad. In 2014, James taught music courses through the University of London for a semester, allowing them to travel extensively across Europe. In 2018, he took a sabbatical in Belluno, Italy—Bend’s sister city. During their time there, they formed lifelong friendships with their Italian friends and have since been actively involved with the Bend Rotary and the sister city relationship. Their involvement includes giving talks on their travel experiences, singing at events, hosting Italians in Bend, and coordinating future cultural exchanges.

Heather holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Oregon. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring all that Bend has to offer, including hiking, biking, paddleboarding, floating, snowshoeing, and running. In 2024, she traveled to India with Sudara, witnessing firsthand the organization’s impactful work supporting women and children affected by human trafficking. Hearing their stories of resilience and success reinforced her passion for supporting mothers and children.

As a mother of four, Heather’s goal is to continue empowering and supporting other mothers and children in any way she can.
