Swartha’s Story of Hope and Freedom
Swartha came to one of the Sudara partner sewing centers after her mother pressured her to prostitute herself at the local temple. Like many of the women at the centers, Swartha’s family lived in poverty. And, once she came of age, her family wanted her to contribute to family finances. She has dreams of one day working in technology, though, and is working to make a new life for herself and her family.
